Our Community Awaits

Looking for high-quality supported independent living with care for yourself, your clients or a member of your family?

Think it doesn’t exist within your price range? Well think again!

Beautifully appointed, individual independent living flats within a former Victorian Rectory, set in a friendly village in south-east Kent. Part of an ongoing extensive conversion programme that started at the beginning of September 2018, the flats are currently coming online in batches of three.

With fully fitted kitchens, tiled bathrooms or wet rooms depending on need, and plenty of storage — nothing has been overlooked to give residents a high-quality standard of living.

As a Domicilliary Care company we provide the care in our own setting, giving 360 care and support.

About Us

Get Busy Living

People First

At Your Life Your Home we focus on Person-Centred Planning, believing that every one of our clients has the right to choose how they live, where they live and who they would like to support them in their everyday lives.

Recognizing what's important to each individual is key to giving our clients control over their own lives - at Your Life Your Home we don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach.

Our location

Situated in the friendly and welcoming village of Ash, we have close, supportive links with the local community and others in neighbouring villages. Ash has its own Doctors' surgery, Pharmacy and physiotherapy practice, while the closest NHS dental surgery is just 3 miles away. We also have a regular, visiting podiatrist.

The popular and well-supported Church of England church is just a few minutes away, with the nearest Roman Catholic Church in Sandwich. Also in the village are two hairdressers, a beauty therapist, grocery shops, two pubs and a takeaway that can deliver to the door.

We are on a main bus route to Canterbury (10 miles), Sandwich (3 miles), Deal (8 miles), Dover (14 miles), sea-side towns of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs (10 miles) and beyond, with their shopping centres such as Westwood Cross and main line train stations.

But for clients who aren't comfortable or confident travelling independently, don't worry! We have a six-seater transporter with wheelchair lift and smaller cars that your Support Worker can use to take you where you need to go. So there's nothing to stop you getting out and about, alone or with your neighbours and friends. We support our clients as they need - medical appointments, visiting and keeping in touch with friends and family, shopping - or just accessing all types of activities that we all enjoy.

What's On?

What's On?

There's always something going on at Your Life Your Home, so clients never have to be lonely.

Clients are free to either remain separate or mix with their neighbours in our Communal areas. Our bright and airy conservatory is central to our home, featuring a large television, pool table and brightly coloured chairs. It's here clients can gather for our weekly Takeaway and Film night, traditional Sunday lunch or gatherings such as birthdays, Christmas or events like Valentine's Day.

Christmas is a big celebration at Your Life Your Home and we make sure all our clients enjoy it and participate as much or as little as they'd like. No one is left out and no one is forced to join in.

The communal areas play host to different activities each month that clients can join in with if they choose.

A monthly What's On is posted each month in the Conservatory - clients are invited to suggest activities at the monthly Residents' Meetings. (NB: Residents is the term used to denote those that live/reside in either The Old Rectory or Gardners House)
